USMCR Captain Vietnam War Letter May 14, 1968

This letter was written by a USMCR Captain, who was with Company A, 9th Engineer Battalion, in Vietnam, May 14, 1968. He wrote all of his correspondence on postcards. From the letter.....

Today marks 8 months since I left the states. 5 more and I should be home. Tomorrow is pay day so I will be sending home another check towards my new car. We poured 65 cubic yards of concrete up at the 380’ bridge today. Tomorrow we will pur the last of the concrete for that bridge. Hope all is well at home. Summer is almost here. Before you know it fall will arrive and shortly thereafter I’ll be home. All is quiet in Chu Tai for the moment. Time for bed.

Love to all,
