Notes: Lieutenant Barber was a member of Attack Squadron 75, Carrier Air Wing 7, U.S. Navy aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS INDEPENDENCE (CVA-62). On September 18, 1965, he was a crew member of a Grumman Attack Aircraft Intruder (A-6A) over North Vietnam when the aircraft crashed killing him. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. For more information see:
